"Galvanize Our Service for a Stronger Sisterhood"
Greetings and welcome to the official website of Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Located in Savannah, Georgia, the Chapter has been in existence since 1943. Since that time, we continue to provide engaging, empowering, and enduring programs, events, and services to meet the diverse needs of the Savannah community.
Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter joins over 1000 chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated who are committed to “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service” for the betterment of the community. Serving the community is what keeps the chapter viable.
As a chapter of over 180 talented, dedicated, dynamic, and distinguished college-educated women, where each member is encouraged to develop and use her unique talents and skills to support innovative and impactful chapter programs and activities. Focusing on the college admissions process for eleventh and twelfth graders, supporting HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), Women’s Healthcare and Wellness, Building Our Economic Legacy, The Arts!, and Global Impact issues, Gamma Sigma Omega continues to influence the community.
I invite you to browse our chapter website to learn about exciting news, chapter events, activities, programs, and services. Also follow us online on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We appreciate your continued support of our events and programs!
Thank you for visiting.
Kind regards,
Charlene E. Jones, President
